Episode 37 – Doorknobs and Multiverses

death in comics
The power in his hand is a doorknob.

So funny story. In our comics chat group, Larry and I were trying to explain what was going on in Justice League. Although it was more me jumping in with how I’m confused while Larry tried to explain the nonsense that is the Source Wall and the Totality. When we got to the part with the magical doorknobs (you JL readers know exactly what I’m talking about), I joked that magical doorknobs aren’t as awesome as magical bedknobs. (If you’ve never seen or never heard of the greatness that is Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks, then I’m just sad.) That jibe led to coming up with our own version of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and it landed on “Doorknobs and Multiverses.” We then decided this was going to be the title for the next podcast, even if it wasn’t about the magical doorknobs.

Well, the podcast is not about magical doorknobs, but the title is too awesome not to use. The podcast is about death in comics, which varies greatly between the mainstream superheroes and hipster island. (As in, one is permanent, one is most certainly not.)
