Episode #30 – The Fantastic-ish Four

The Fantastic Four return

According to CBR, Marvel appears to be teasing a Fantastic Four return. Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm, and Victor von Doom have all been flitting around Marvel comics, but we haven’t seen hide nor hair of the Richards family. After Secret Wars, Mr. Fantastic and his family of four disappeared. Evidently it’s high time for their return.

We have opinions on this matter. One Marvel fan, one former Marvel fan, one podcast. We reach into this team’s history in the comics and their less than stellar appearances on the silver screen. Is it time for the Fantastic Four to return? Or is this team a relic of the early comics era?

*Please note that we’re going to be recording on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays from now on. Podcasts should go up on the Friday after recording. This one got delayed thanks to the Easter holiday weekend.

    Jennifer,

In addition to your feelings about Harrow County. I don’t feel like Cullen Bunn is “over” Harrow County or it’s characters at all, he has repeatedly expressed his love for the comic and it’s characters, but maybe he just says that about everything he writes? I don’t know if you are aware but it has been confirmed that Harrow County is ending at #32. Around the time #3 came out Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook said that they already had an ending planned, the whole story had been mapped out, and they planned for Harrow County to run for at least #30 -#32 issues, so I don’t feel like it’s dragging on, apparently it’s all going according to plan.

Emmy is a teenager, who has had this great big responsibility thrust on her, so of course she’s going to make some bad decisions. I think if we put ourselves in her shoes metaphorically, we would probably screw up a lot too haha.
As for Hester’s return, I’m pretty sure it’s been obivious since the probably first issue that she was going to come back, it was just a matter of when.

With all of that said. I do hope you decide to stick around for the big finale of Harrow County, Jennifer. 🙂
